School's Out For The Summer!

Two weeks ago I officially finished my first year of grad school. Why then, haven't I been posting in all of my free time? Because we haven't been at home.
The recap:
May 7th & 8th: Finals - they are done and that's all that matters.
May 9th: G'ma to dr.
May 10th: worked for Lisa - Lisa was one of my professors this past year and I will be helping her code behaviors of parent/child interactions off of video tapes for her research. One of my classmates is also working for her, so we get a little social time in as well. I am also working for another professor, Pat Sample, on changing a class we took in the fall around a little bit. I am very lucky to have both of these experiences.
May 11th-13th: Matt and I went to Connecticut to see his family. Sean, Fiona and Lindsay also came in from California and we had very nice visits with both of his Grandmothers, as well as his aunts, cousins and other random extended very Italian family...
Sean & et al had a much earlier flight out of town on Sunday, which we didn't realize until we were almost at the airport. So Matt and I decided we would take the subway into NYC and meet up with Karley. Of course, it took much longer than we expected (why does it have to stop at EVERY stop?) and we only were in the city for about 45 minutes - Which we spent looking for something to eat. We eventually settled on getting sandwiches from a deli (basically, bread and a ton of meat) and ate them in a 'park' - which was really just a few benches on the corner of a street. It was super fun.

May 14th-18th: We stayed at my mom's - shorter drive for Matt to work and I have been hanging out with my G'ma. On the 16th my G'ma got two kittens, which have been a riot. We finally decided on names: Posey for the one with 1 black eye and Lulu for the one with 2 (she looks sort of French to me)

May 18th- current: we are house sitting for my uncle KC. This hasn't stopped us from going up to Estes to clean cabins, celebrate my birthday on Sunday with my family or me go to work on Monday in Fort Collins. I think we will finally go 'home' on Wednesday for a few days. Who knows what we will end up doing for Memorial Day weekend?
