Oh, Brother

We were supposed to be done with health issues in the family this year, but Jay didn't go along with our plan (not on purpose, I'm sure).
After a series of kidney and bladder infections, the doctor decided that they had better go in and check it out. So this morning, he had scope sugery. They went in through his urethra (ouch) and found a blockage in vessicles in his kidney and took it out. However, since his bladder had been working overtime because of the renal blockage, his bladder is inflammed. Just to make sure that the inflammation was due to stress and not anything out they took a biopsy (or at least we hope they did it then, if not, they are going to have to go back in the same way).
Jay is in quite a deal of discomfort, finds it hard to walk, but otherwise alright. This was the update I got from Kristine (his wife) at 9:30 MST, which would be 11:30 EST. She had to go because Jay was coming out in a wheelchair.

It is also Seth's birthday. Happy 17th! What is up with my brothers having health problems on Seth's birthday? (on his 15th, Seth got diabetes)
