Rapids Soccer

Last week, Matt's work had tickets to a Colorado Rapids game (pro soccer). Since he works for AIM, which bought out Invesco, we had access to a pretty sweet booth at Invesco Field @ Mile High. It was right next to the owner's box. The only problem was that they didn't sell beer up there, so all of the younger people that Matt works with decided that we should just go down to the lower level and hang out there.
The Rapids lost. No big surprise there.
Hopefully we will get back there for a football game this season.

No Wonka

Matt and I were just at the part in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where the girl eats the piece of gum that turns her into a big blueberry when the DVD player stopped. I looked in the manual (as it is only a few months old) and it says to keep it out of heat over 95 degrees.... it's been over 100 the past 3 days. THE HEAT BROKE MY DVD PLAYER!!!!! IT IS SO HOT THE THING STOPPED!!!! Hopefully once it cools down it will work again. F.

Moon

Yesterday, in honor of the first moon landing, Google added the Moon to it's maps. The coolest function is if you pick a specific mission 'flag' and then zoom in all the way. It's pretty incredible.

Deck and Hippies

We finished the deck. WAHOO! After too many hiccups, extremely hot days and just plan procrastination, we finished the deck.... well, we did the flooring -- Pete will have to do the lattice, because that is just ridiculous.
Also, some new pot smoking hippies moved in upstairs (serious ones, not just wanna be college students) and their friends also moved in... outside of our apartment in a VW bus. They seem pretty nice, I just wish they would shower...

They Might Be Giants

We went to the 'We Might Be Giants' concert Saturday night with Dan and Sarah. They came over for dinner first, and we turned Shil's (well no longer) bedroom into the dining room. How posh. I was slightly disappointed because they didn't play 'Partical Man' Oh well, it was still fun.
