Finger Licking Good

I thought that it was Kentucky Fried Chicken that claimed to be "finger licking good", not Wendy's.

Spring Break is Almost Here!

I leave on Friday to go to Connecticut for a week. I am very excited to see the progress Cyndy has made since I have seen her last (in October). Plus Andrew and I will get to goof around a lot which is always fun. Allan will be leaving at the end of my trip to go to Las Vegas for some sort of tournament... Pool? Poker? I will have to find out.
The other great thing about Spring Break is that I DONT HAVE TO GO TO CLASS. You would think that since I only have class twice a week, I wouldn't mind, but it is driving me crazy. Shil and I even have a calendar that we mark the days off to graduation. (LESS THAN TWO MONTHS). Yesterday, I went and picked up my cap and tassle -- but since I am cheap, I am just going to borrow Matt's gown.
If anyone wants to take a vacation out here, I have our cabin for the week after my graduation so I can chill out for a while.... please feel free to come visit!

Gulp

Matt and I went up to Estes Park yesterday to do some hiking in the sunny weather and afterwards we went to lunch at "The Grubsteak". I would not really recommend this restaurant, it was cheap (food came in a plastic basket), the service was slow, and we were sat next to the door into the kitchen. But the funniest thing happened. Matt went to take a big gulp of water, and before I could warn him, he grabbed the ketchup bottle and threw it back. The look on his face was hilarious. Plus, then he had a little ring of ketchup on his lips from the rim of the bottle. Boy, have I landed a brilliant guy or what?

Trip Summary

Friday: Left the house at ~11:00-11:30 am. Drove to Wyoming, up to Jackson Hole, arrived aruond 8pm. Had McDonalds for lunch, and a really good Buffalo stew for dinner. Went swimming and had a terrible night's sleep because the heat was up so high. Seth likes to talk in his sleep.
Saturday: Got up and went to breakfast. Then drove 1/2 hour in the wrong direction (Yellowstone is closed to cars in the winter) and had to turn around and drive back. Went through Idaho (and watched Napoleon Dynamite for the second time this trip, INCREDIBLE!) and into Montana. Dave gets a speeding ticket in Montana (yes, they DO have a speed limit), 93 in a 75. Spent the night in Missuola. McDonalds for lunch, a quesadilla for dinner (sort of, it wasn't very good).
Sunday: Room service for breakfast. Left the hotel at 8:15, drove past Kalispell, MT, to drop Seth off at his camp. Back to Kalispell to get some lunch (Wendy's) and at 1:15 were on the road again. Arrived in Billings. MT around 8pm for dinner at Outback and spent the night at the Billings Hotel, where you can play video poker or video keno. Pretty boring.
Monday: Out the door by 7:30. Breakfast at McDonalds (in first town in Wyoming), lunch at Wendy's (last town in Wyoming). Home by 4:00.
Animal sightings: Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Goats, Buffalo, Elk, Deer, Antelope, Coyotes, Moose (dead and alive), Rabbits, Hawks, Eagles (bald and golden), and various other little critters.
States travelled through: Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana
Other areas travelled through: Flathead Indian Reservation, Crow Indian Reservation
Total milage: 2,250
Total time in car: ~40 hours.
