Michigan

I went back to Michigan for Thanksgiving. I had a very good and busy time. I am sad that I only took 10 pictures though! what was I thinking? Here are a couple from the day after Thanksgiving, when we had the Gazlay gathering. My uncle Chris ate too much and had to take a nap between dinner and dessert. After dessert, all of the men went out to have a cigar. The men photo: Patrick (no cigar), Jason, my dad, Uncle Crhis, Grandpa, Uncle Mike. Also, there is a picture of my Gramma and myself.... Too bad I didnt have any other pictures of family members. sniff sniff.
Then I saw Heidi... the damn keego is licking brownie batter, yum!

I donated my brainwaves to science!

check out this link http://brainwaves.colostate.edu/
to see the study I was in. It was pretty cool. I got to watch Wallace and Grommit (with no sound) while my brainwaves were measured. Every now and then, there would be a clicking sound or some beeps that would send off electrical impuses from my brain which were then picked up by that sweet hat I am wearing.
After the brainwave section, I had to do a variety of concentration tasks.
Besides these awesome pictures, I also got a mug and $15! WAHOO!

what we've been up to this weekend:

Our friends Karen and Drake's apartment building had a fire a few weeks ago. Luckily they were on the second floor instead of the first, where there was a bunch of asbestos and so it had to be sealed off. It was also our friend Kevin's birthday. Here he is blowing out his candles. Dan loved his Krispy Kreme hat (he is going to be a cop after all!)

Project

For school I had to do a visual aid representing the life of a person I have been studying. My guy is a landscape design major, so I decided to try and do his whole poster with the landscape theme. I downloaded a free trial of Smartdraw and this is what I ended up with. Each part of the landscape signifies an important part of his life.
I then imported this picture as the background of a powerpoint slide and could add the title, a photo of the person and some written information explaining the landscape. I'm not a great artist or anything, but I think it turned out ok.

new pictures

Here are our pumpkins all lit up... we had just enough candy for the trick-or-treaters. We had dinner with Dan and Sarah on Friday night... Fondue, but first Dan made us a nice salad complete with fresh ground pepper. On Saturday we took a VERY quick trip to the new mall in Boulder and were jealous of the view of the flatirons. Then over to Evan's and we goofed around with Julie's props to slow down the speeders on their road.
