Damn you!

Work today would have been fine, if the slacker hadn't dumped a bunch of work on me and then left to do something else. Most days, this kid does nothing but surf the net or stare at the walls and when he does have something to do, he passes it off to me. So even though he has known that we had to aliquot (divide up) some chemicals today all week, he didn't prepare for it at all. I got the pleasure of making around 300 little tiny labels to put on microcentrafuge tubes and apply them. That took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours since the printed decided to take a big crap on me. I got through about 2/3 of the way through, and in walks the Slacker. I was so pissed that I could barely even tell him to finish the job and left. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I am so sick of doing this crap when he sits on his butt all day. What is he getting paid for?????? Plus, he's on salary!!!!!!!!!

another filled weekend

This weekend was another busy one. Friday night we saw Batman Returns. Overall I thought it was a good action movie, and much better than the later Batman movies.
Saturday we went up to Big Elk Meadows (almost to Estes Park) to a BBQ. The party was being held by Kelli, the person who introduced Matt and I. The weather was nice and we went out on the lake and someone even caught a rainbow trout, which was pretty cool.
Sunday was Brewfest in Fort Collins. Basically, a bunch of the local breweries bring kegs and for a dollar they give you a 6 oz sample of their beers. Most of them were good, some of them were a little fruity, but all in all it was a good time. I hope to get back up to Fort Collins to check it out sometime soon, seeing as I am hoping to go to grad school up there.
Shil moved out last night (probably sometime early this morning).... the apartment sure seems empty...

The Sith Sense

Last night, Shil showed us this really cool site.... Darth Vader playing 20 questions. Basically, you think of something, not too specific (like computer, not 'Apple 2GS') and answers the questions Darth comes up with. Our first try, he didn't quite get our word - he guess 'urethra' when we were going for 'penis'. But he got 'Pirates' when we tried that. Try it and see what happens!

Weekend Summary

Following this post is a picture-diary of what we did this weekend.
Friday - Comedy show in Denver with Tony Rock --- VERY VERY FUNNY! Don;'t eat the Jalapeno Poppers though, I ended up waking up at 4 am and got sick.
Saturday - Took Matt's blood, after work to Pete's to attempt to stain the deck (the sprayer didn't work), the poker.
Sunday - Me to Estes Park to see Dave and my mom, Matt to umpiring at this time, then to Matt's parents for Father's Day.
Other than not getting enough sleep, it was a fun weekend.
