Quilting etc.

I finally posted the pictures from the quilt I made. Not perfect, but it's pretty darn cute for my first sewing job ever. I gave it to Heather (my pregnant boss) last Saturday at her baby shower and I think it was a hit.
As you can see by the pictures, everyone got a little silly with the scraps and we jammed out to Aretha Franklin for a little while.. even Jake.
Dave Chappelle was awesome, and I am bummed I didnt bring the camera for some pre-show shots. He really made us laugh hard and it was definitely worth the $40 to see him live.
This past weekend, Mom and Dave went to pick Seth up (that's right, he's home!) and Emma went snowboarding, so Matt and I had Heather and her husband Jason over for dinner on Saturday. Sunday we helped Matt's parents move some more stuff to their new house and started setting everything up for Thanksgiving. The weather here has been awesome (in the 60's) and so we are hoping to get to go for a nice hike before dinner tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Pictures per Patty's request

Here are the few pictures we took from last weekend. By the way, Patty, who requested the pictures is Matt's aunt. Yes, his mother's name is Patty too. I'll try and be clear when I talk about each one.
Thursday and Friday we went out down in Denver with people from Matt's work. Saturday, we went to a Fondue party with people from my work: this was actually really fun and the food was awesome.
Sunday morning, Matt and I got up early to go wait in line at the Comedy Works to get tickets to see Dave Chappelle! the line was super long, and we waited ~~ 3 1/2 hours, but we got tickets for us and a bunch of our friends.
Then we went to Matt's parents house. The picture is of his mom when we gave back a bunch of books that his dad tried to sell back to the boulder book store, but they wouldnt take back because Patty had written on them. She was so happy because she didnt want strangers reading her thoughts.
No school today, so I don't have to work. Aunt Sara is in town, so we will hang out some today.
Also, I am making a quilt for Heather (my boss?) because her baby shower is tomorrow. I had all the kids a work make a hand print on the fabric and i'll put it together. I know what you are all thinking: "Whitney knows how to make a quilt????" The answer: No, but my mom is teaching me. Thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll post pictures when I am done!

normal?

At the end of this message, you are asked a question.

Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it.

Just say the first thing that pops into your mind.

Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous one..

You do not even need to write or remember the answers, just do it using your mind.

You'll be surprised.

Start:

How much is:
89 + 2

12 + 53

75 + 26

25 + 52

63 + 32

I know! Calculations are hard work, but it's nearly over..

Come on, one more...

!

123 + 5

QUICK! THINK ABOUT A COLOR AND A TOOL!

Scroll further to the bottom...

A bit more...........

You thought about a red hammer, didn't you?

If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have a different, if not abnormal, mind.

98% of the folks would answer a red hammer while doing this exercise.

Random

I realized all I ever do is write 'updates'... so here is an email I got that I thought could break it up a little bit.
Sorry about the formatting... not bored enough to fix it.

This weekend was great! First of all, I am barely sick anymore! Only the occasional cough.
Saturday I finished my application for grad school. I checked the shipping status and they received it today!
Saturday night we went out with Pete and Tyler to a bar and then a Halloween.
Sunday to the corn maze and pumpkin patch with Dan, Sarah & her friends. That place rocked!
